Four fearlessnesses 四無畏

Four fearlessnesses — qualities of a buddha, which are included among the twenty-one sets of immaculate qualities of the buddha's dharmakaya.

1. 一切智無所畏 fearlessness in asserting their own perfect realization
2. 漏盡無所畏 fearlessness in asserting their own perfect abandonment
3. 說盡苦道無所畏 fearlessness for the sake of others in revealing the path to liberation
4. 說障道無所畏 fearlessness for the sake of others in revealing potential hindrances on the path

夢參老和尚：如來具有四無畏，（一）一切智無所畏：大眾說法無畏，作師子吼，說法無畏。不論你是什麼人聽，不論好多人聽，他都具足一切正攝，無所畏。（二）漏盡無所畏：還有斷一切煩惱，沒有怖畏心。對一切境佛的煩惱都斷了，永遠的沒有怖畏心。為什麼？無掛礙了。無掛礙了，才沒有恐怖；也沒有一切顛倒夢想，都沒有了。連無明的老根都斷了。（三）說障道無所畏：佛對於一切障害佛道的法門，他是通曉無礙的，也沒有怖畏的心，對一切法門，沒有佛說不出來的法，沒有佛所不知道的，對機說法也是無礙的。四種無畏，對機說法無畏。（四）說盡苦道無所畏：佛法中說盡苦道而無所畏，不只苦道無畏，寂道也無畏，一切法都無畏。這是說四聖谛法的時候無畏，說四種無畏。
