Valid direct perception (Skt. pratyakṣa ; Tib. མངོན་སུམ་ཚད་མ་, Wyl. mngon sum tshad ma) is defined as "an unmistaken non-conceptual cognition". [1]
Subdivisions
- Valid sensory direct perception (dbang po'i mngon sum tshad ma)
- Valid mental direct perception (yid kyi mngon sum tshad ma)
- Valid direct perception of self-awareness (rang rig mngon sum tshad ma)
- Valid yogic direct perception (rnal 'byor mngon sum tshad ma)
