Lama Khedrup was a main disciple of Dudjom Lingpa, and a great Tröma Nakmo yogin who practised in the 108 cemeteries. On his master’s instruction, Lama Khedrup left Dudjom Lingpa in Golok with other senior students and made the long journey to Pemakö to find the reincarnation of his master: Dudjom Rinpoche.

According to Dudjom Rinpoche, Lama Khedrup was "extremely wrathful, short tempered, and often scolded or yelled at [him]". But he was of crucial help to teach reading to Dudjom Rinpoche[1].
