The four types of condition (Skt. pratayaya; Tib. རྐྱེན་བཞི་; Wyl. rkyen bzhi) are 四緣說，又稱四緣論，分別是：
- 因緣causal condition (hetupratyaya; rgyu'i rkyen)
- 等無間緣immediate condition (samanantarapratyaya; de ma thag rkyen)
- 所緣緣objective condition (ālamabanapratyaya; dmigs rkyen)
- 增上緣dominant condition (adhipatipratyaya; bdag rkyen)
