The five vehicles or yanas (Wyl. theg pa lnga) are:
- The specific vehicle of the gods and humans 天人乘
- The vehicle of shravakas 聲聞乘
- The vehicle of the pratyekabuddhas 緣覺乘 / 獨覺乘
- The Mahayana 大乘
- The Secret Mantra vehicle 密咒乘
