Two supreme sharavakas 聲聞二聖（目犍連、舍利弗）

The two supreme sharavakas were Buddha Shakyamuni's two foremost disciples:

• Maudgalyayana and
• Shariputra.

They both passed away into nirvana one year before the Buddha.
