Tenzin Gyatso Institute
The Tenzin Gyatso Institute, named after His Holiness the Dalai Lama, was founded in homage to his vision and his achievements. It is the realization of Sogyal Rinpoche’s lifelong wish to make a lasting contribution to the Dalai Lama’s work and to help safeguard it over the years to come. An international non-profit organization, the Tenzin Gyatso Institute is based at the Center for Wisdom and Compassion in New York State, USA. With the Dalai Lama’s blessing, and with the guidance of several of his closest associates, it has selected three initial priorities, which focus on education and human values: the Tenzin Gyatso Scholars Program, the Tibetan and Himalayan People’s Program and the Training the Mind in Compassion Program.
