Eight holy places 八大聖地

The Eight Holy Places (Wyl. gnas chen brgyad; Skt. aṣṭhamahāsthāna) are the eight most important places related to life of the Buddha. They are,

1. 藍毗尼 Lumbini garden, Kapilavastu
2. 菩提伽耶 Bodhgaya
3. 鹿野苑 Sarnath, Deer Park
4. 祇園精舍 Jetavana, 舍衛城 Shravasti
5. 桑伽施 Sankisa
6. 王舍城 Rajagriha
7. 毘舍離（廣嚴城）Vaishali
8. 拘尸那羅 Kushinagara
